DIY Foaming Hand Soap

I love this DIY Foaming Hand Soap because it is soooo easy, full of good things for your hands, and smells amazing! I like to switch up the essential oils that I use depending on the season.  In spring/summer I like to use fresh citrus and herbal notes while in the fall I gravitate towards the warm scents of clove and cinnamon.  It’s budget friendly which is an added bonus because around here we go through soap like it’s going out of style;)

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. unscented liquid castile soap
  • ½ tsp. olive oil
  • 8 oz. foaming soap dispenser
  • distilled water
  • 12-15 drops of your favorite essential oil(s), see note below

Instructions

  • Pour castile soap into empty soap dispenser.
  • Add essential oils and olive oil, gently swirling to incorporate  (this will help the essential oils to distribute throughout the soap instead of floating straight to the top).
  • Top with distilled water, leaving space to account for pump. Gently tip the bottle up and down a couple of times to mix.

Notes

* I like to switch up the essential oils that I use with the seasons. Blends that I enjoy are: lavender/peppermint, lime/spearmint, tangerine/clove/cinnamon, lemongrass/rosemary, grapefruit/basil
